Name any social media including Facebook and Instagram, the news feeds are filled with amazing memes from the regular incidents of life. Memes have become one of the most wanted feeds online and the artist behind these memes are in high demand. There are jokes, dark humor, twisted themes, and regular observations that make these memes liked by millions. The meme artists are one of the most appreciated artists as they are keen observers of events in daily life to give it a funny twist. Kushal Mistry is one such meme artist who has engraved his own path to deliver the best through his journey from being a meme artist to that of a comedy content creator. Kushal is a 24-year-old boy who started his career as a meme artist while he was completing his engineering from Vishwakarma Govt. Engineering College in computer engineering. He like any other human being went through a lot of thick and thin which he decided to use humor as his art. He decided to make memes on his Instagram account called @kushalmistryofficial. Kushal made the account to express his daily hardship and incidents in the form of memes on the page. Soon he was recognized by many for his artistic mind. His observation skills and his creativity bought him some great meme ideas.
While he was actively involved in creating memes on the page, he started watching videos by Harsh Beniwal and Beyounick an Indian YouTuber. These comedians and their videos inspired him over time. Soon he decided to gather with his friends in college and create his own video. He along with his college friends including Parth Parmar, Jatin Prajapati, and Vijay Gurjar came up with their first video on a YouTube channel named ‘Amdavadi Man.’ The video was named, Gujju’s While Driving, Lukhkha Friends, Amdavadi Man Vs Wild, Uttarayan ’ This was in the year 2017 when they planned a humorous video for YouTube. The video was much appreciated by many of the viewers, followed by which they kept the channel alive by delivering new uploads. Kushal Mistry, being the founder of the channel wanted to ensure that his audiences were well entertained. His latest video on ‘School Life ’ has already gained thousands of views and counting.
Even during the pandemic, they kept everyone entertained by performing online. His videos were mostly around Movie and Song Parody, movie and TV Serial Spoof, Observation, Sketch Comedy, daily life problems, trending, and relatable topics amongst other genres. They even decided to make videos on platforms like YouTube shorts, Instagram Reels, and TikTok, Josh, which gained their immense amount of recognition, especially in Gujarat.
‘Amdavadi Man’ soon touched a mark of 10k subscribers on YouTube which changed everything for Kushal. He, alongside his three friends, decided to pick this channel as their full-time profession. Kushal was then completely dedicated to creating comedy sketches. He wanted to ensure that his channel is watched and talked about by his viewers across India. His video contents are consumed by kids, school & college youth, office & desk job workers, and even senior citizens happen to enjoy the content too. Kushal mentions, ‘When I was an engineering student and started as a meme artist, I never thought that I would end up being a comedy content creator. The only motto behind me making those memes is to pull out frustrations that I went through on a regular basis. Being an engineering student, I had a plain simple dream of working a 9-5 job; however, the small act of creating memes got me so far.’
Adding to this he also says, ‘When I started watching the videos by my favorite artist Harsh Beniwal and Beyounick, it gave me the idea to do something of my own. My classmates were equally excited to make videos online. We wanted to make videos like other comedians and that’s how we ended up creating the channel ‘Amdavadi Man.’ There is a lot of content that might be inappropriate for all generations and so keeping that in mind we altered our ideas and made it more consumable by everyone. Today we are all finger crossed as soon we are expecting to touch a million subscribers on YouTube. My decision of becoming a comedian instead of a normal office job got me so far and all I can say to everyone is that it is never too late to opt for something you like. Following your passion is more respectful and joyful.’ His journey as a next-door comedian has been incredible and can inspire the young generation to follow their passion in return for some hard work and dedication just how Kushal Mistry did it for him.
